About our Childcare

City Road Community Childcare is a warm, welcoming place where children are able to thrive in a stimulating and happy environment. Every parent/carer is valued and embraced as their childs First Educator. Together children are able to prepare and become school ready and are able to participate in community and family life.

Childcare is one of the biggest expenses for many families, we hope that an annual 2 week NO CHARGE holiday period goes a little way to help.
At City Road Community Childcare we believe in fair pricing, we provide a flexible 38 week Term Time contract, please speak with childcare manager Jo Broughton for further information

Our Team

Jo Broughton

Owner/Manager

Jo is the Owner & Manager with over 20 years experience working in Early Years. City Road Community Childcare is the sister nursery to Kelham Island Community Childcare which opened in 2014 & is rated good in all areas by Ofsted. Jo has advanced training in safeguarding & is the Designated Safeguarding Lead at City Road Community Childcare. Jo is also Paediatric 1st Aid trained. Jo is full time.

Emma Morgan

Deputy Manager

Emma is the Deputy Manager & has worked in Early Years for over 10 years. Emma has two children at school age but still fits in time to have trained as our Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator at City Road Community Childcare. Emma also has Advanced Safeguarding Training & is the setting’s Deputy Safeguarding Lead. Emma is also Paediatric 1st Aid trained. Emma is a passionate member of our team & is here every day & is Term Time only.

Amelia Broughton

Early Years Practitioner

Amelia is attending college every Thursday a week to qualify as a level 3 Early Years Practitioner. Amelia loves the fact that no two days are the same & the energy that young people have. Amelia is Paediatric 1st Aid trained & is here all year round.

Rebekah Ned

Early Years Practitioner

Rebekah is a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner and is Paediatric 1st Aid trained. She has previously worked at our sister setting for nearly 7 years. Rebekah loves to use her knowledge to contribute to children’s growth and development and is also a mum to two children. Rebekah works term time only.

Jessica Charlesworth

Early Years Practitioner

Jessie is training with Interserve to qualify as a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner. Having experience within her family, it has made Jessie passionate to follow her interests in childcare.

April

Early Years Practitioner

April is the Panda Bear room lead. April is Level 3 qualified in Early Years and Play work, she is also a qualified first aider and works term time only. She spends the school holidays being a Play Lead for children with additional needs.
